The Yamuna River is one of the most important and sacred rivers in India. It flows through the heart of Delhi — the capital of the country — yet its condition today is shocking. Black, foaming, and filled with untreated sewage, the Yamuna is in a really bad shape. In this video, we investigate why the Yamuna is still so dirty, despite over ₹7,000 crore spent on cleaning it. State governments have launched cleanup missions, but the river remains dangerously toxic. We travel along the Yamuna in Delhi, speak with experts trying to restore the river, and go behind the scenes inside a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to understand where the system is failing. Our aim through this video is to answer this basic question: Is it even possible to clean the Yamuna river?
